I first noticed grey hairs a little after I turned 29. 30 came along and the amount of grey hairs increased by a lot leaving a lovely patch at the top of my head as well as a lot going down three of my dread locks. I have read that black people are not supposed to go grey until they are in their 50s so I am not sure what happened here!
Because I am not into using harsh chemicals on my hair I have been searching for natural ways to cover these annoying things. I found a recipe for using coffee to darken the strands. I used a mixture of dark roast brewed coffee, my conditioner and the dark roast coffee grounds. I applied this to my hair two times and left it on for an hour each time. I actually notice a difference! They are still there but the patch is a lot darker and less noticeable. Maybe if I had done it a couple more times it would have worked even more.
So all in all, I think I am going to be doing it again pretty soon. I might fold in the future though and end up getting my hair dyed black for real. Right now this is what I am going to use and I recommend it to anyone else looking for something that may darken their hair a little bit.
